They are capping ticket sales at 8,000. BUT…..it should be tasty.</p>
<p>On a sad/wtf note: Kogi BBQ and Grilled Cheese Truck will not be in attendance. Oh well.</p>

<p>Well, I visited my son’s second grade classroom today and I saw faces that reflected Asian, Middle-Eastern, African, Latino, and European ancestry.</p>
<p>Are there “white” kids?</p>
<p>Of course, but the kids that I saw were in no way homoegenous, and I think that is pretty true of Orange County as a whole. I don’t want my children growing up in a world where everyone looks exactly like them, and for all that the producers of Real Housewives of OC would like you to think, the population is far from being all fair-haired and light-skinned.</p>
<p>The pockets of paranoid white folks are certainly there, but I’m predicting they will be going the way of the dodo sooner rather than later.</p>

<p>I first did this 2 weeks ago. We watched Monsters Vs. Aliens. As you can guess by the movie, this is a very family-friendly atmosphere. Tonight they will be showing The Wizard of Oz. I’ll be there! Will you? Look for me and say hi!</p>
<p>Be sure to bring a nice big blanket and some picnic items! They have a snack bar where everything is $1 with all the proceeds going to charity. Also, if you get there early enough there are 2 fire pits. And please, if you are going to bring lawn chairs, please make sure they are not tall as a courtesy to the people around (behind) you.</p>
<p>I have also seen something for outdoor movies in Newport Beach on Saturday nights, but I don’t have much information on that. But feel free to check it out and if it’s awesome, let us know!</p>

<p>More specifically Glow Fest is a Day-Glo… er… Night-Glo “party” with tribal world music and bright colors best enhanced by overpriced theme park liquor. Something tells me this masterpiece of in-park entertainment is intended to “entertain” bored visitors as they wait to see World of Color rather than actually stand on its own two legs as actual entertainment. I suppose they had to do something; after all when you have eleventybillion visitors waiting around to see a show in a half-empty cut rate theme park you better come up with some way to keep them from rioting. If you spend enough time in DCA numbing your senses, you’d be surprised at what you might attempt to do in an effort to feel something (anything) again.</p>

And to think that the outsider is going to come into office and “change” everything is a pipe dream. Yes, the system sucks, but they are basically powerless to do anything about it.</p>

<p>As in, lots of white people.</p>
<p>Well, I visited my son’s second grade classroom today and I saw faces that reflected Asian, Middle-Eastern, African, Latino, and European ancestry.</p>
<p>Are there “white” kids?</p>
<p>Of course, but the kids that I saw were in no way homoegenous, and I think that is pretty true of Orange County as a whole. I don’t want my children growing up in a world where everyone looks exactly like them, and for all that the producers of Real Housewives of OC would like you to think, the population is far from being all fair-haired and light-skinned.</p>
<p>The pockets of paranoid white folks are certainly there, but I’m predicting they will be going the way of the dodo sooner rather than later.</p>

And it’s FREE!!! It is brought to you by the same folks who tried bringing Drive-In movies back to the OC Fairgrounds. (I’m still mad it never took off.)</p>

<p>I first did this 2 weeks ago. We watched Monsters Vs. Aliens. As you can guess by the movie, this is a very family-friendly atmosphere. Tonight they will be showing The Wizard of Oz. I’ll be there! Will you? Look for me and say hi!</p>
<p>Be sure to bring a nice big blanket and some picnic items! They have a snack bar where everything is $1 with all the proceeds going to charity. Also, if you get there early enough there are 2 fire pits. And please, if you are going to bring lawn chairs, please make sure they are not tall as a courtesy to the people around (behind) you.</p>
<p>I have also seen something for outdoor movies in Newport Beach on Saturday nights, but I don’t have much information on that. But feel free to check it out and if it’s awesome, let us know!</p>

<p>More specifically Glow Fest is a Day-Glo… er… Night-Glo “party” with tribal world music and bright colors best enhanced by overpriced theme park liquor. Something tells me this masterpiece of in-park entertainment is intended to “entertain” bored visitors as they wait to see World of Color rather than actually stand on its own two legs as actual entertainment. I suppose they had to do something; after all when you have eleventybillion visitors waiting around to see a show in a half-empty cut rate theme park you better come up with some way to keep them from rioting. If you spend enough time in DCA numbing your senses, you’d be surprised at what you might attempt to do in an effort to feel something (anything) again.</p>

<p>I’ve come to realize that as much as all politicians suck, it sucks even worse to have someone in an important position who has no knowledge of how the system works. And to think that the outsider is going to come into office and “change” everything is a pipe dream. Yes, the system sucks, but they are basically powerless to do anything about it.</p>

But you best believe I’ll be all over the comment threads just as I was before I became an author.</p>
<p>On this note, if any of you out there would like to be an author for our site, step up and let us know!! Due to moves out of the area (fejsez, oc maria, myself) our crew is fading fast. Please speak up and tell us about your OC experiences, tips, whatever!</p>
